Ranks

Very Unique: if your toon is Very Unique, speak up to be promoted to Welcome Wagon, this is just a landing spot for guild finder applicants!
Kuehlschrank: after 6 months inactiviity, members or officers will be demoted to Kuehlschrank. After nine, alts will be removed. We attempt to retain a token toon for old friends, but if we failed, and you have been removed for inactivity, chances are very good you would be welcomed back with open arms, just sent a tell to an officer!
Welcome Wagon: the starter rank for new members and members recently returned from a long absence. You will be eligible for a promotion from Welcome Wagon after one month, but promotion is largely based on participation in chat and events, and requesting a promotion is nearly always counterproductive.
Shield Bearer: the Aegis of ancient mythology was a shield or breastplate borne by Athena and Zeus, this rank, that of our full members, is named for it.
Old Skool: this rank is to recognize members of very long standing. Tenure measured not in years, but in expansions. As a guild since 2009, we have more than a few very old friends.
Hyperactive: a rank for raid leaders and event planners, Hyperactives can be promoted from Shield Bearers or from Old Skool, and will be promoted entirely based on contribution. Hyperactive members are required to use Discord for group communication, together with the officers.
Oddicer: your friendly neighborhood officer oddballs. Oddicers are responsible for providing access to the guild bank, inviting new members and supporting guild activities. Promotion to Oddicer is by concensus of the current officer corps, and is dependent on the needs of the guild.
Strategos: these officers have chosen to take on specific tasks that keeps the guild rolling along, things like bank managment, organizational leadership and guild outreach. Strategos is utilized largely to facilitate greater bank management and guild control, and is not an indication of greater position than that of Oddicer.
Maharaja: GM and alts. It's probably her fault.

	Aegis was founded on Galakrond in 2009, when a group of new friends wanted a place to collaborate, shoot the shit, and see new content together.
We are now old friends, but we still like doing those things, and we currently field two raid teams at the heroic level with a casual (possibly inebriated) run on the side. We always welcome new friends of all levels for other activities. Apply now!
